church wont open

areas open right now:
- Wickport Inn
- Town Square
- Graveyard
- Cliff

- gave spyglass to guy on cliff edge
- put flowers on grave; completed all dialog with person at window
- DID NOT get necklace on beach; missed it the first time and now it wont return; although my understanding is this has no bearing on church (correct?)
- gave bell to sailor; completed all dialog with sailor
- completed all dialog with people in tavern
- nothing completed at cliff except looking at everything
